Thailand

If you wanted to hear about my little trip...
Luckily, I had Beatrice and Vivian and their family accompanying us to reduce the boredom of just having my parents. =]
So last week, I went to Thailand for 5 days.. went on this tour with a Vietnamese group (how typical) and was at first in Bangkok, then went to Pattaya (pronounced POT-thai-ya, not like papaya.. lol). So we stayed in Pattaya for two nights. The hotels we stayed at were all 4 star, and very gorgeous. They had breakfast buffets each morning... and we probably ate at buffets almost every single meal (yeah, it got old pretty fast). On the first day, we got to ride elephants and I got twisted around an elephant's trunk! Pictures coming soon. We also visited the biggest temple in Thailand that was practically made of gold. Then we made our way to Pattaya and watched a magic show (pretty kiddish) on account of how all of the adults watched some "sexy" show as they called it. Basically models dancing around naked. Lovely right?
Well the next day, we did a lot of beach stuff. I went parasailing and we went on this speed boat to this island. We even went "scuba diving." I quote it because I don't really know what to call it. Basically, they gave us this huge astronaut like helmet and we used it as oxygen under water. We went below the surface and got to see different fishes, (sorry no turtles =[ ) and saw different and pretty! corals. Later, we went to see quite an interesting show.. okay, get this.. the show consisted of mainly men. Moreover, transvestites! They were men transformed into these beautiful women dancing and singing just like women. They really did look like women too because they had boobs and they were super skinny. It was pretty hard to believe some of them were men. Did you know? Thailand has the most number of transvestites! Everywhere I went, I questioned my friends if it was a girl or guy...
The next day, we went back to Bangkok, but on the way we saw an elephant show that was unbelievable. It made me sad though, on how they treated them... training and hurting them so they could perform these tricks.. But they could paint with their trunks, shoot hoops, kick a soccer ball into a goal, roll a bowling ball, throw a dart, and ride a bike... Pictures soon to come as well. Then we went to this snake place where they snake charmer actually put a snake's head into his mouth! I even had the opportunity to touch a snake's penis. Pretty gross >.< Later, we went to another show... but it wasn't as interesting, but it told more of a story... and I feel asleep for about half of it.
The last day, we went to the Floating Market! If you're an ANTM fan, you may remember the episode with crazy Jade, Joanie, and Danielle (Dani), where they went to Thailand and did the mermaid photoshoot at the market! I am proud to say I went there. It was really unique and I have never seen anything like it. It was super crowded of boats and people were actually selling things on the water. Then we went shopping at this mall that was five stories!!
Currently, I am in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam. Chillin' and lonely without my homies. =[
Also accumulating 293847 bug bites that make that spot swell up like crazy, not to mention super itchy! Not fun.
Until next time!
